The Peggy Guggenheim Museum (Venice) edited

Birth of a cultural project

" The Toiles Musicales project was born in Venice in 2015, during a visit to the Venier dei Leoni Palace, which houses works from the Peggy Guggenheim collection.

The proximity of the canvases allows for this mental immersion into the paintings. An intimacy rarely experienced in a museum. Like a trance.

Music, when it resonates, associates itself in an almost synesthetic way with colors, atmospheres, feelings...

These encounters, whether fortuitous or carefully crafted, provide the impression of a moving, overwhelming sensory journey to the heart of Art.

Toiles Musicales is the desire to share this total experience of Art.

Digital technology allows me to recreate the mental stroll through the paintings as I perform them and to materialize my approach. A dialogue is established between the music and the master paintings, which come alive with the sound of the piano. Colors and sounds overlap, respond to one another, and merge.

The public then discovers an innovative approach to the recital which opens the doors to classical music and the Fine Arts."
